Summary

Everyone responsible for using data has to follow strict rules called ‘data protection principles’. They must make sure the information is:

used fairly and lawfully
used for limited, specifically stated purposes
used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive
accurate
kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary
handled according to people’s data protection rights
kept safe and secure
not transferred outside the European Economic area without adequate protection

To ensure your staff work within the principles of data protection, eLearning For You has developed a state-of-the-art eLearning course for all levels of staff. The course uses a range of case studies that will bring realisation to the subject, demonstrating how easy it is to step outside the boundaries of confidentiality.

To show all persons what must be done to preserve the security and confidentiality of personal data and to ensure compliance with Data Protection laws.
